Electric Me, a family-run business with over 14 years of experience in domestic electrical and building services. They came to me needing a full visual identity, which included a logo, business cards, website, and supporting stationary and graphics.
The objective was to differentiate themselves from typical electrician branding while reflecting their expertise and professionalism. This meant avoiding lightening bolts and plug sockets.
To achieve this, I delved into electrical symbols for inspiration, ultimately intertwining the letters “E” and “M” from the company name to resemble the icon for a transistor. This design choice not only conveyed a sense of interconnectedness but also alluded to the idea of a connecting circuit, mirroring the relationships within the business and the services they provide.
In terms of colour palette, I opted for black, white and a hint of red to convey professionalism and sophistication, completely stepping away from the typical electrician logo. The choice of black and white also served as a nod to the simplicity of symbols commonly seen in electrical contexts.
The resulting logo design was well-received by the Electric Me team, who felt it accurately represented their work ethos and talents while effectively distinguishing them from their competitors. Overall, the project successfully achieved the goal of creating a distinctive visual identity that resonated with both the company’s values and their target audience.
